Holiday Fair 2010

SAVE THE DATE!
FIRST CHURCH CRAFT FAIR IS NOVEMBER 6.

Crafters of First Church are creating one-of-a-kind items for the Fair on Saturday, November 6.  New items for this year include hand painted bird houses, Santa stuck in the chimney, homemade stuffed animals, handmade all occasion cards, fleece hats and mittens for toddlers, a large variety of grapevine wreaths, lovely painted clay pots, hand crocheted angel tree toppers, tooth fairy pillows, etc.  Holiday staples such as decorated plates, Christmas ornaments, gold reindeer, wreaths, sways, small trees, etc. will also be offered for sale.

The delectable and mouthwatering bake sale by lifelong bakers of the church, a large silent auction, the Cheese Man, morning coffee and pastries, and a luncheon made by the Weathervane Restaurant will also available.  The “New to You” room will expand for you to re-gift those presents that you are given during the year and that are brand new, don’t fit into your décor, are too small, etc.  Too many vases, bottle openers, dishes, etc?  Re-gift to the Fair (but no bigger than a bread box)!

If you would like to donate a specialty handmade item for either the auction or craft tables, please call Jocelyn Henning at 880-1839 (or email jocelynsh@comcast.net) or Carolyn Mulrooney at 888-3900 to let us know.  We have many gifted crafters in our church and your donations help us raise more funds.  100% of the money raised goes to the Pastoral Aid Fund whose funds are given to individuals in emergency situations throughout the year in the greater Nashua community by Reverend Jim and Reverend Jeff.

Craft meetings are usually every other Wednesday night so call Carolyn if you are interested   and she will let you know what basic supplies to bring.  We are looking for jewelry displays in good shape for necklaces and earrings, either on loan or to be donated.  Please call Jocelyn if you can help or have an idea.

Would you like to help us in November?  We need help setting up and breaking down tables, selling craft items, bakers to make a few specialty items (in addition to the bake sale), etc.  A heartfelt thanks to all the many, many volunteers who help make this fair successful!
