Fellowship Opportunities

Fellowship programs include four basic elements: outreach, worship, learning, and recreation. A given meeting may focus on just one of these elements, or involve all four. The goal is to reach a balance during the program year.

Youth Fellowships

Beginning the third Sunday of September. Junior and Senior High Fellowships do not meet on the last Sunday of the month.

Basketball – October – March

Junior and Senior High young people are eligible to tryout for the First Church team. Tryouts and practice begin in October. The season begins in December and runs through the end of March. Practice is held on Tuesday evenings 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. and games are held at the Nashua YMCA. Check the web site for tryout, practice, and game schedules.



Men’s Breakfast – Thursdays, 7:30 a.m., Pine Street Eatery
An informal gathering of men from First Church for fellowship and conversation. Order from the menu.

Men’s Monthly Munchers – first Tuesday of the month, 12:00 p.m.
An informal gathering for lunch at various restaurants around Nashua. Check the web page for locations.

Out to Lunch Bunch – second Wednesday of the month, 12:30 p.m.
An informal gathering of women for lunch. Check the web page for dates and locations.



Rally Sunday – Third Sunday in September.
Annual celebration of the beginning of the church’s program year. 10:00 a.m. worship is followed by a cookout.

Decorate the Church – Week of Thanksgiving
A time for fellowship and decorating the First Church sanctuary and tree for Christmas. Watch the web page, monthly newsletter and weekly bulletin for more detailed information closer to the event’s date.

Nauss Hall Players- Drama Ministry
Director: Brenda Smith-Weiss
The group presents a play in the fall and/or spring. Plays and auditions are announced on the website, monthly newsletter and in the weekly bulletin.

The Mike Balcom Memorial Old-timers Basketball Game
Held following the completion of the YMCA Church League season, this annual game pits the men of First Church against the First Church team. At half time of the game the Craig Hutchinson Memorial Most Improved Player Award, the Sportsmanship Award, and Player of the Year Award are presented to members of the First Church team.

Horton Center Retreat — Friday through Sunday the weekend before Labor Day
This annual get-away for families, singles, couples, young, old, and in-between is an opportunity to enjoy our Conference’s retreat Center on Pine Mountain in Gorham, New Hampshire. Come and enjoy the peace and beauty of Northern New Hampshire in the fall.
