Membership

A person becomes a member of First Church by "Owning the Covenant". The covenant of First Church is simple and straightforward:

Relying upon Divine help we promise to co-operate as members of this Church in the study and practice of that law which Christ taught as supreme, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy strength and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself"; to attend its services; to contribute to its support according to our ability; to aid in the extension of the Kingdom of God; and to promote efficiency, purity, and peace in this household of faith."

Those desiring to “own the covenant” and become members of First Church are required to attend a luncheon and orientation class. Childcare is provided.
